However, there is a sector where WhatsApp has received criticism over the years and this is the compression of the images when they are sent. WhatsApp has always been known as the app that compresses the image files sent to the instant messaging platform, reducing the quality of the photo with a significant margin to increase its speed. It would be interesting to know how to send photos with WhatsApp on iPhone without compressing them.

Not everyone prefers speed on quality. If you are interested in sending photos with WhatsApp on iPhone without compressing them, while maintaining the quality of the image, well, without further ado, continue reading to see how to send images without compression on WhatsApp.

Usually, when we are in a WhatsApp conversation and want to send an image, we try to attach the photo from the Gallery. This is not the method we use in this guide. Simply follow the next steps to get this result in a few seconds.

The guide to send photos with WhatsApp on iPhone without compressing them

STEP 1 – First, download WhatsApp from the App Store, open it and click on the ” +” icon to associate the image you want to send. As we said, we do not use the Gallery to attach the photo. To avoid compressing photos and images we have to add them as a document. Then, simply tap ” Document ” and the compatible apps will appear from which you can take photos such as iCloud Drive, Documents or Dropbox. If you do not see any of them, select the “Other” option and activate all the apps.

STEP 2 – You must have uploaded the photos you want to send with WhatsApp on compatible apps such as iCloud Drive, Documents or Dropbox. Open now WhatsApp and with the procedure indicated in the previous step, open the app on which you have uploaded photos and images to share. From WhatsApp open the app and browse the folder that contains your photos and select the specific image. Once found, click on it.

STEP 3 – The chosen image will be loaded in the conversation of WhatsApp with the original quality, keeping the same pixels without any compression. Once you have sent the image, you can check whether it has been compressed or not by checking the detailed information of the file.

It’s all here. Instead of sending it as a photo, we sent the image file as a document to prevent WhatsApp from compressing it. You will notice that if you send the image as a document, you will not receive the preview of the image as it normally happens when you send a picture to WhatsApp.
