THE 5 HIGHEST-PRICED OLD SCHOOL RUNESCAPE ITEMS

There are not so many online games that can boast a really wide audience. Although there are plenty of those, some games attract particular age or social groups. For instance, CS:GO or League of Legends can mostly draw the attention of young people and, in particular, students who would delegate their assignments to EssayHub to play a bit more.

If you’ve ever wondered what the most expensive Old School Rune Scape items are, read on for the answers. These items are valued primarily for their functions, and also because they’re rather hard to get. We’ll start with the item that costs the most OSRS gold first, with the next ones going cheaper than the last.

#1: The Twisted Bow

The Twisted Bow earns the place of the most expensive weapon of OSRS. It requires a Ranged level of 75 for characters to use it and can fire any type of arrow. Because it has a range of 10 tiles, the long-range combat style is only good for gaining Defence XP. It’s a good all-around bow.

However, its main selling point is its passive effect of boosting damage and accuracy the higher the target’s Magic level. That effect makes this bow a premium item especially for boss hunters or those who hunt mages in PvP. It’s priced at 1.1B gold on average at the auction house. Otherwise, doing the Chambers of Xeric may reward you with one.

#2: Elysian Spirit Shield

The Elysian Spirit Shield comes from a Blessed Spirit Shield combined with an Elysian Sigil. It requires 75 Defence and 75 Prayer to wield and boasts high defense bonuses to all physical attacks. While its rarity is because of the rarity of the sigil, it has a beneficial passive effect.

It has a 70% chance to reduce standard damage taken by the wearer by 25%. That doesn’t stack with the Justicar armor set effect, and it won’t reduce the damage of poison and similar non-combat damage. Some special attacks also won’t be reduced.

It’s priced at about 642M gold on average. Blessed Spirit Shield comes from using a Holy Elixir on a regular Spirit Shield from the Corporeal Beast. Elysian Sigils are also from the same boss, with a much lower drop rate. The process of making an Elysian Spirit Shield requires 90 Prayer and 85 Smithing. An alternative is to ask Abbot Langley to do it for you, with a price tag of 1.5M coins.

#3: Ancestral Robe Set

It’s a set of armor composed of a hat, a shirt, and some pants. All parts require 75 Magic and 65 Defence to wear. When all three pieces are worn, it gives +69 MagicAccuracyand +61 Magic Damage. It’s also no slouch in defense, beating out the Ahrim’sRobeskirt by a little bit. The armor set won’t degrade, so you don’t have any additional repair/recharge costs.

It doesn’t have any special effects, but it’s a good armor set for any mage. A set will cost you 146M gold on the auction house. Individual pieces of the armor can be obtained in the Chambers of Xeric.

#4: Dragon Hunter Crossbow

Dragon hunters would want this crossbow, as it has a very useful passive effect. It requires 65 Ranged and has a range of 7 tiles. Unlike the Twisted Bow which can fire every type of arrow, it can’t fire every type of bolt. Its passive effect kicks in when fighting dragons (Elvargand revenant dragons exempted), wyverns, and the Great Olm. When fighting one of those mentioned, it increases accuracy and damage by a decent30%.

It stacks additively with the Void Knight equipment effects, and multiplicatively with the Slayer Helm. Its price in the auction house is at around 112M gold. Alternatively, going through the Chambers of Xeric would reward you with one.

#5: Kodai Wand

When paired with the Ancestral Robes above, mages will have the time of their lives. It’s the strongest wand in the game and requires 75 Magic to use. Characteristics of the wand include the ability to auto-cast Ancient Magicks and unlimited water runes. It also has a 15% chance of negating rune costs for offensive spells and gives a 15% bonus in Magic Damage.

Buying it from the auction house will cost you80M gold. The only other way to get it is to use a Kodai Insignia on a Master Wand. The former you can get from the Chambers of Xeric, and the latter from the Mage Training Arena.

So those are the most expensive OSRS items. Selling them would give you a fortune, that is, if you don’t use it for your benefit. At any rate, have fun playing OSRS!
