The main instant messaging applications allow use on any computer, but Apple has decided to limit iMessage and make it available exclusively on iOS and MacOS. Fortunately, however, there is a way to enable iMessage on Windows PC. Continue reading to find out about the different procedures to follow.
How to activate iMessage on Windows operating systems
If you’re reading this guide, it’s because you own an iPhone and want to activate iMessage on your Windows PC. Although Apple has decided to make its messaging application available only on its operating systems, there are several options to use iMessage on Windows anyway. Let’s go and discover them together.
Activate iMessage on Windows PC via Google Chrome Remote Access
The easiest way to use iMessage on a Windows computer is to use an interesting extension for Google Chrome. However, this method only works if you already have a Mac and want to use iMessage on a second Windows computer.
The extension in question is called Chrome Remote Desktop and is an extension that allows you to very easily connect two devices to each other.
In other words, the extension allows you to remotely access another computer. This way, you will be able to access a Mac computer and use iMessage for Mac also on a Windows computer.
Obviously, if you do not own a Mac this solution is practically useless.
Use iMessage on Windows PC via emulator
If you do not have a Mac, you can still use iMessage on your Windows PC through the use of an emulator that we have already talked about and that you will find in our previous guide. This is iPadian and you can download it for free from the official site.
However, to start the emulator you will need to install Adobe AIR. Without it, you will not be able to run iPadian on your Mac. You can download the latest version of Adobe AIR directly from the official website by clicking on this address.
I invite you to consult this other guide where you can find various solutions on how to emulate iOS on Windows PC, including, in fact, even iPadian.
Use iMessage on Windows PC by running Jailbreak on iPhone
If the two methods above do not satisfy you, you can use iMessage on Windows PC by running the Jailbreak on iPhone/iPad.
In Cydia, in the BigBoss Repository, there is an app called “Remote Messages” for $ 4. This tweak allows you to remotely connect to the iPhone by installing a small Web Server that, once enabled, allows full interaction with the iMessage application using Chrome and FireFox browsers.
To access iMessage remotely, after installing the tweak just open the web browser and enter the IP address provided.
Get iOS notifications in Windows
Alternatively, you can still receive iMessage notifications by installing Pushbullet. This app allows you to connect different devices to each other and to see in real time the notifications you receive on your phone.
