How to manage and free up Space on iPhone by deleting system files that take up a lot of space. You can save up to 5GB on the new iPhone
Free up space on iPhone with almost full archive
Your iPhone often shows the archive message almost full, full memory and you can not save more photos and videos because it has internal memory packed with your photos, videos and applications and although Apple provides free 5GB that you have available to store photos, videos, documents and more on iCloud but you will fill it in a short time between backups of photos, videos and chat of WhatsApp, in a few months you will easily reach it.
If you want to recover some space on your iPhone because you are running out of memory here is how to recover from 3GB to 8GB of space quickly.
First step: Uninstall the Suite office apps if you do not need them (3GB recovered)
Since Apple’s default apps are so many and take up a lot of MB each, the solution is to uninstall the Apple suite applications:
- Pages
- Keynote
- iMovie
- Numbers
- GarageBand
These five applications in many cases are pre-installed on Apple devices the simple uninstallation of these applications will make us recover 3GB of additional space to use as we want.
How to uninstall an app on iOS
To uninstall them you have to keep a long click on the application and then select the X in the upper right to uninstall them from your iPhone or iPad.
Finally, our advice is to unstitch the apps that take up more space by going to the Settings then on General select the item Space on the device and then on iCloud -> Space Device -> Manage space. So we will see ordered the app by size and decide which one to uninstall among those that occupy more space.
The guide is very useful especially on devices that only have 16GB or even 32GB of internal memory and that therefore they see quickly fill up the little space available after the installation of some application and shooting of photos and videos.
Second step: Empty the system folder (5GB recovered)
The second method, however, is what allows us to recover up to 5GB of useful space. Yes, because going to clean the iOS System folder, we can eliminate many useless files. To check how much space the system folder occupies, you can go into
Settings -> General -> Free Space iPhone
and at the bottom you will find the space occupied by that part of the file.
To delete part of those useless files we have to:
- Connect the iPhone to the PC with the USB cable
- Open and use iTunes
Once opened iTunes, connected with the USB and accepted the device on your MAC or Windows where iTunes is installed, after a few minutes in which the usual synchronization will take place you can check under Settings -> General -> Free Space iPhone to see magically the occupied space magically diminished.
With this system is recovered from 2 to 5GB and certainly this procedure to connect it to the PC, allows iTunes to go to delete unnecessary system and cache files that go to recover all that precious space.
If you know other systems to recover space on the iPhone or recover space on the iPad, write it in the comments and we will update the article.
