We do not store your personal data. All your tasks, notes, and focus history are stored locally on your device. We do not have a user database and we do not sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

Slate AI is a local-first application. We collect minimal data:

User Content: Tasks, notes, and focus history are stored entirely on your device’s local storage. The developer has no access to this data.
No Accounts Required: You do not need to create an account or sign in to use the app.
No Personal Identification: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use AI (Google Gemini)

Our app uses AI features to help you organize tasks, parse brain dumps, and suggest subtasks.

Provider: AI features are powered by the Google Gemini API.
Processing: When you use AI features (such as Brain Dump), the text you submit is sent to Google’s servers for processing and then returned to your device.
No Server Storage: We do not save your task data on our servers. Once the AI generates your results, all data is stored locally on your device.
Google’s Privacy Policy: Text submitted to Gemini is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

3. In-App Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

Slate AI offers optional Pro subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly) to unlock premium features.

Provider: Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat.
Data Collected by RevenueCat: RevenueCat collects anonymous device identifiers and purchase history solely to manage your subscription status. No personal information is shared with RevenueCat.
Billing: All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store any payment or card details.
Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

4. Analytics and Ads

No Analytics: We do not track your behavior inside the app. We do not use any third-party analytics tools.
No Ads: The app does not display any third-party advertisements.

5. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete the app.

Warning: If you delete the app, your local data will be permanently deleted. Since we do not maintain a server copy, we cannot restore lost data after uninstallation.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally, parents and guardians have full control over the device and its content.
