Account Deletion Request

IdeaMark values your privacy and control over your data. You have the right to delete specific data or your entire account at any time.

How to Delete Specific Data (Without Account Deletion)

You can remove individual items (Ideas) from the app while keeping your account active.

In-App Deletion of Ideas

  1. Open the IdeaMark app.
  2. Tap on any Idea Card to view its details.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the details screen.
  4. Tap Delete Idea.
  5. Confirm your choice to permanently remove that specific item and its associated notes.

How to Delete Your Account

Deleting your account will permanently remove all data associated with you.

This is the fastest method to permanently delete your data.

  1. Open the IdeaMark app on your device.
  2. Tap the Settings tab (the gear icon on the bottom right).
  3. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm your choice. This action is irreversible.

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by email.

  1. Send an email to ankytbhardwaj@gmail.com with the subject line: “Request to Delete Account”.
  2. Please send the email from the address associated with your IdeaMark account so we can verify ownership.
  3. We will process your request within 7 business days.

What Information is Deleted?

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Identity Data: Your User ID, email address, and authentication records.
  • User Content: All “Ideas” you have captured, including text, notes, and reflection answers (Why, What, How).
  • App Settings: Your preferences, themes, and onboarding status.

Data Retention Policy

  • Immediate: Once confirmed, your data is flagged for deletion immediately.
  • Backups: Data may persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days, after which it is overwritten. Backups are never used to restore individual user accounts after deletion.
