- Name (optional): Used to personalize greetings and label PDF reports for your healthcare provider.
- Due Date (optional): Used to calculate your pregnancy week and tailor the experience.
- Session Notes (optional): Free-text notes you add after each counting session.
- Mood (optional): How you feel after each session (Happy, Relieved, Neutral, Tired, or Uneasy).
- Support Data: If you contact us via email for support, we may collect your contact details and the content of your message.
B. Information Generated by the App
- Kick Session Records: Start/end times, individual kick timestamps, total count, and duration.
- Contraction Session Records: Start/end times, contraction timings, average duration and interval.
- App Preferences: Counting mode, reminder time, haptic feedback, and theme preferences.
C. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect device IDs, IP addresses, or location data.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or user tracking services.
- We do not collect payment or financial information.
- We do not access your camera, contacts, photos, or health data from other apps.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
All data is stored locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database. Nothing is sent to the cloud.

3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide the App’s functionality:
- Tracking Sessions: Recording kick and contraction data during counting sessions.
- Generating Reports: Creating PDF reports with charts, heatmaps, and session history — generated entirely on your device.
- Personalizing the Experience: Displaying your name, pregnancy week, and daily reminders.
- Local Notifications: Scheduling reminders at your chosen time. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device, not sent from a server.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal data to any third party.
The only way your data leaves your device is when you explicitly choose to share:
- PDF Export: You can generate a PDF report and share it using your device’s native share sheet (e.g., via Messages, Mail, or AirDrop). This is entirely under your control — BabyKicks does not automatically upload or send reports anywhere.
5. Third-Party Services
BabyKicks does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The App operates entirely on your device without external service dependencies.
The only third-party framework used is:
- Expo (expo.dev/privacy): The development framework used to build the App. Expo does not collect personal data from end users in production builds.
6. Notifications
BabyKicks may send you local notifications if you enable daily reminders. These include:
- Daily Kick Reminder: Scheduled at your chosen time.
- Streak Encouragement: A gentle nudge when you’re on a counting streak.
- Active Session Updates: Lock screen progress during an active counting session.
All notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No push notification server is used. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.
7. Your Data Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
- Access: All your data is visible within the App (History, Trends, Settings).
- Deletion: You can delete individual sessions from History, or delete all data at once from Settings.
- Complete Removal: Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data. There is no cloud backup or recovery — your data exists only on your device.
- Export: You can export your data as a PDF report at any time.
8. Children’s Privacy
BabyKicks is designed for expectant parents and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
9. Security
Your data is stored in an on-device SQLite database protected by your device’s built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, or biometric lock). Since no data is transmitted over the internet, there is no risk of interception during transmission.
10. Medical Disclaimer
BabyKicks is a wellness tracking tool, not a medical device. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider regarding any concerns about fetal movement or your pregnancy.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
