Shao Kahn is the classic villain of the Mortal Kombat series and, in MK 11, he returns with new punches, fatalities, brutalities and a wealth of skills, appearance and equipment customization. Available as extra playable character for the game booking party, it is also possible to acquire it as a DLC. Want some tips to play with it? Then, see below, some Shao Kahn tricks in Mortal Kombat 11.
1. Mortal Kombat 11 Shao Kahn: Combat Profile
Shao Kahn is a more powerful and heavyweight fighter. This gives him the physical power of devastating blows, but makes that character slower. The fact that it is large also restricts the variety of possible combinations of blows a little, which makes it relatively simple to control, but a danger to have it as an opponent (if you let it hit you).
Even though there are not as many combos available, such as Liu Kang or Scorpion, for example, it is still possible to make the evil emperor shine by taking advantage of the Mortal Kombat 11 skill customization feature. He may not be the most visually amazing character to play in, but remember, if you hit a small sequence of blows well, you can make it “easy” to win.
The fact that Shao Kahn has more limited abilities and being slower makes him a somewhat predictable fighter. Only if you’re really inattentive, he will (as an opponent) do much damage to your character. In addition, veteran players will have an extra advantage by being able to deduce the emperor’s simpler tricks.
2. Tips for playing with Shao Kahn
- Shao Kahn has some techniques to disrupt his opponent’s abilities. If you feel you are at a disadvantage, try to reduce your opponent’s defense. Even if you are winning, use this feature to win faster;
- Do not forget to always keep the guard alive. Remember that it is slow and may be surprised by lighter attacks;
- Make every blow worth it. They give a lot of damage to the enemy, but having it blocked or miss the target can be fatal to your character;
- Always try to keep the Shadow Priest ability active. If an opponent attempts to approach you while you “summon” it, you can use the opportunity to counterattack.
3. Fatalities
Name – Buttons
- Back Blown Out – Down, Forward, Down, Down + (Triangle / Y / X / 2)
- Kahn-Sequences – Down, Forward, Back + (Triangle / X / Y / 1)
In both fatalities, you have to be close to the target.
4. Brutalities
Attack name – Buttons – How to activate
- The Klassic – Low + Triangle – Do not block attacks during the last round. Hold down triangle. Last hit has to come from a hook.
