History and backdrop

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story takes place after the Burning Tides facts, which was an event in League of Legends (LoL) and focused on characters involved with the city of Sentina Waters. In addition, the Shadow Islands will also serve as the stage for the plot, which will focus on champions such as Thresh and Gangplank. The design of Ruined King is by Joe Madureira, creator of HQ Battle Chasers, who has already released a game inspired by his work.

CONV / RGENCE

CONV / RGENCE: A League of Legends Story was the second game announced by Riot Forge on the night of the Game Awards. The title focuses on Ekko, the champion who has the ability to go back in time briefly, with an art direction a little more focused on stylized 2D features.

The game will be platformer – the same genre as, for example, Super Mario and Sonic, to name a few classics – and is being produced by Double Stallion. The story will unfold in the world of Zaun and show some of the secrets never before seen by players.

What is Riot Forge?

The two games revealed are under the command of Riot Forge, a subdivision of Riot Games, exclusively designed to develop titles that are derived from League of Legends for other platforms such as consoles.

Riot Forge’s idea is not to directly produce these new games, but rather to act as a bridge of communication with other studios, capable of creating experiences never before seen with the world of League of Legends.
