How to find motherboard model, manufacturer and version in Windows 10

In this guide we will see different ways to find the model of the motherboard on Windows 10: obviously these are very quick and simple procedures.

Command Prompt

You can directly use the Windows 10 Command Prompt to find out information about your device’s motherboard.

Here are the steps to follow:

1. First type Command Prompt on Cortana and click on the result obtained with the right mouse button.
2. Now select Run as administrator and click on Yes in the window that opens.
3. At this point, type the command wmic baseboard get product,manufacturer,version,serialnumber and click Enter.
4. Finally you will see all the information related to your motherboard: Manufacturer, Product, Serial Number and Version (the board version).

CPU-Z

Alternatively you can use the CPU-Z software, which allows you to discover different information about your operating system, including the motherboard model.

Here are the steps to follow:

1. First go to the official page and click on Download Now to download the software.
2. Now click on the downloaded file, check the item I accept the agreement and click on Next.
3. At this point, click again on Next, Next, Next, Install and finally Finish.
4. Finally start the software, select the Mainboard tab and you will see all the information regarding your motherboard: Manufacturer, Model and many others.

System Information

You can view all the information of your operating system, including of course the motherboard model, through the System Information screen : all you need to do is type and select System Information directly on Cortana, select from the left menu System resources and you will see the details of the motherboard by scrolling the screen.
