On WhatsApp, you can hide your profile picture with some contacts. To do this, just follow a few simple steps. The topic of Internet privacy often emerges when talking about social networks and messaging apps like WhatsApp.
When the Zuckerberg team released the blue ticks update, it created a bit of a mess. Fortunately (or unfortunately for some), from the WhatsApp settings menu, you can disable the blue checkmarks and manage other privacy options.
On WhatsApp, there is a way to keep your profile picture hidden for certain contacts or all your contacts, simply follow these simple steps that we are going to present in this tutorial.
And it is in this same menu that you can hide your profile picture to some of your contacts.
Hide your WhatsApp profile image (to some or all of your contacts)
How to hide your WhatsApp profile photo to all your contacts:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Click on the three points at the top right.
- Select Settings> Accounts> Privacy.
- Now click on the profile picture.
- Select the None option.
Now your profile image will no longer be visible on WhatsApp from any of your contacts. If you want to make your profile image visible to everyone, follow the same path and select the All option.
How to hide your WhatsApp profile photo from a particular contact
If, on the other hand, you want to hide your profile picture only to some of your contacts (your mother, your ex, your colleagues), the process is a bit longer because WhatsApp does not allow it. However, there is a solution:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Click on the three points at the top right.
- Select Settings> Accounts> Privacy .
- Click on Profile Photos.
- Select the My contacts option.
- Open your phone’s address book.
- Delete the contact you want to deny access to your profile photo (save the contact’s phone number in a note to avoid losing it).
Now you can be sure that this contact will no longer see your WhatsApp profile image.
