You can play as a duo on Free Fire or on 4-player teams however you like: with strangers, the team auto-fill system or with friends. Just add player profiles to favorites. See how to play duo on Free Fire.
How to play double in Garena Free Fire
To play as a Free Fire duo or in four-player teams with friends only, you must first add the players you know to your list. When another player confirms your friend request, they are displayed.
Change game mode to Duo or Squad
- On the Free Fire main screen, tap the start mode icon in the upper right corner;
- Select the mode “Duo” (doubles) or “Squad” (times);
- On the left will be a menu with the names of your friends;
Invite friends to play with you
- Click on the search bar where it says “Nickname”;
- Enter the username you wish to add;
- When the profile is found, tap the “+” button next to the name;
- Wait for the user to confirm their friend request.
Once you have enough friends, just add the ones that are available by clicking the “+” button and wait for them to confirm the invitation.
Players identified with “Online” status are the ones you can include in your team, while the others (“Offline”, “Building a Group” or “Playing”) will not have the “+” button.
How to play with friends only
If you don’t want to double-play Free Fire with strangers, you need to turn off the option that fills your team’s remaining vacancies with other people:
- On the Free Fire main screen, tap the start mode icon;
- Select “Duo” or “Squad” mode;
- Tap and uncheck the “Self Training” box in the bottom right corner screen.
And ready.
To play with others again, check the “Self-Training” box again.
How to play alone against doubles or squads
The option to prevent your team from filling vacancies with players other than your friends allows you to play in an unofficial hardcore mode, which is to tackle doubles or four-player teams alone:
- On the Free Fire main screen, tap the start mode icon;
- Select “Duo” or “Squad” mode;
- Tap and uncheck the “Self Training” box at the bottom right screen;
- Tap “Get Started” without inviting any friends to your team.
And ready.
