Write interesting posts

Writing interesting posts and, if possible, funny is the first step to get more like on Facebook. But what are the requirements of the post “perfect” for Facebook?

In reality there are no strict rules to follow. In principle, however, I recommend you write posts that are shortclear and simple: if you write a post too long or too complex would risk to “tire out” users, who could even stop following you on this social network.

In the posts you write, try to express yourself with a friendly and colloquial language and, if possible, enrich the text with some emoticons: you can use the emoticons according to your mood that lies behind the phrase you wrote in the post.

If you want to make your posts a little more fun and engaging, in order to try to have some more likes, use colored writing (This function available only for Facebook profiles, not for pages ) or format the text by writing in bold.

Other useful ideas could be to publish interesting and profound quotes( however without exaggerating!), Inserting hashtags (ie those words preceded by the # sign) to “tag” the post or create surveys using the appropriate function available from Facebook.

If you want to “push the user to the action”, use a call-to-action. If you want to “win easily” and get a more or less significant number of interactions in a relatively short time, you could try to ask one or two questions in the post (eg “What do you think of …” or “You like me if you too do you think that … “ ): usually the questions trigger a mental mechanism that pushes the user to  give like or a reaction.

Before publishing a post, however, make sure that it is written grammatically correct and, for a moment, put yourself in the shoes of the users who will display wondering if you would be encouraged to put “Like” to the content in question or not.

Doing this exercise regularly will not only prevent you from falling into some resounding spelling mistake, but you will be able to identify yourself in the shoes of the people who follow your updates. You’ll see, little by little you’ll begin to develop the ability to engage your audience and get more interactions.

Publish quality photos and videos

“A picture is worth a thousand words” Precisely for this reason it is important to publish quality photos and videos. If in your post you decide to insert an image or a video, make sure it is interesting or fun, but this is essential to try to attract as many interactions as possible.

As for the photos, do not publish shots that present chromatic aberrations or other rather marked defects. Maybe try to improve the quality of the shots you want to publish using the famous Photoshop (or some other photo-editing software similar) or use some apps to edit photos.

Since users really appreciate GIFs (ie those animated images that are played in loop), from time to time you also share this particular type of multimedia content on your profile or on your Facebook page: surely they will attract so many likes.

If the photo you are posting portrays some friends who were with you in a specific place, do not forget to tag them: you will attract their attention and will be more likely to “like” the content in posts since it concerns them in the first person.

In posting a photo or video on Facebook, however, in addition to ensuring that it is engaging or not, be careful that it is not subject to copyright, which does not violate the privacy of other users and/or the conditions of use of Facebook: even incurring your account closure!

Interact with other users

Interacting with other users is another aspect that you should pay so much attention if you want to have more likes on Facebook.

You can interact with other users of the popular social network not only putting “Like” to their content, but especially commenting and trying to cultivate real friendships with people who have the same interests as you. After all, the goal of social networks (Facebook in the first place) is just that: allow users to communicate and interact with each other.

Of course, in commenting, always try to respect whoever is on the other side of the screen, even when it may not be easy to do so.

So do not use in any way in the world a vulgar, offensive, derogatory, racist language and never fall into the argument: as well as risking annoying other people and attracting their dislikes, you could seriously violate some of the conditions of use of Facebook and even incurring the closure of your account!

In addition to comments, on Facebook you can use other tools to interact with users, including direct videos.

If you decide to use this useful feature, keep in mind the following tips to make sure that the live succeeds and attracts as many users as possible (and consequently also of potential like).

  • Choose the right environment for live – the perfect location is neither too bright nor too dark. The ideal is to find an environment with the right light that allows others to see clearly your face and recognize you immediately.
  • In addition to lighting, it also pays close attention to the audio factor – so avoid crowded or overly noisy places otherwise viewers may not understand what you’re saying in streaming.
  • Take care of your appearance  – since in the live you expose you publicly, you have to take care of your image: after all you should know, even the eye wants its part!

Other useful tools to interact with other users of Facebook are the Stories and surveys. As both of these tools are widely appreciated by the Facebook community, use them to try and attract more likes!

Publish content posted on Facebook

While following the advice given in the previous paragraphs, you may not see a big increase in the number of likes and interactions to your posts.

In this case, it may be useful to advertise the content posted on Facebook and you can do this in at least a couple of ways: creating a Facebook page (if you have not already done so). You can also create groups or subscribe to some already exist.

Making a Facebook page can be particularly useful if the posts that you usually publish on the social network concern your business or a specific topic that is the case to treat in a specific “place”, your page precisely!

After you have created your Facebook page, you will be able to use some tools through which you can advertise your content.

To advertise content on Facebook, simply click on the button Boost the post and set up audience profiles, that is select the target of people you want to reach with the advert: their age, their interests, their position geographical and so on.

Facebook also makes available to advertisers some advanced tools to carry on real advertising campaigns.

Also making good use of Facebook groups can be a smart solution to be adopted to have more likes on Facebook.

Before advertising a content on a Facebook group, you must first subscribe to the group (just click on the button Join the group and hope that your request is accepted by the administrators of the group ) and then read the rules of the group very carefully so as not to risk being thrown out immediately after your registration by the group itself.

As soon as you receive your request to join the group, publish the content you want to advertise within the group.

The advice I give you is to post a content only if it is in related to the general theme treated by the group.

To be clear, if the group is dedicated to the topic “Sports”, do not post content regarding music, cooking or gardening (unless we have some correlation with the topic “Sport”).

By doing this, you will show respect to the other members of the group, you will not frustrate your efforts to publicize your posts and you will be more likely to get new likes.

In addition to subscribing to existing Facebook groups, why not create a group yourself? By doing so you can decide by yourself what topics to deal with in the group and which users to register with.

I’m sure that, by using this useful tool provided by Facebook in the right way, you will be able to bring home some positive results.

Do not “exchange” like

Some users, failing to increase the number of “Like” to their posts, resort to some little “honest” expedient to get like artificial and, in this case, exchange like with other users.

In fact, on Facebook, groups are born with the aim of allowing users to exchange likes. On these groups is used a very simple mechanism: you put the “Like” to my post and I will spare the “favor” by putting like on your post.

This practice is widespread, but I advise you not to adopt it for at least a couple of reasons: first, to have “fake” like on Facebook is absolutely useless, if not to “inflate” a bit its popularity on this social network; secondly, the practice of exchanging likes is not frowned upon by the staff of the social network, even though it is not expressly condemned in its conditions of use.

Therefore, if you really want to have more like on Facebook, apply the various tips that I have provided in this article and you’ll see that, with a little constancy, you will get positive results.
