I can not give you the magic wand: being successful and making money on Instagram is not easy. To succeed, you need to manage your profile in a professional manner, dedicating several hours a day. The main objective is to stand out from the others, so as to quickly increase the number of followers. An easy way to do that, is to insert Instagram emoji directly in posts, in Stories, in Direct and, perhaps, even in the biography.

IPhone emoji keyboard
If you have an iPhone, before proceeding to insert the emoji on Instagram, you must verify that the keyboard emoticon is active or not. In fact, it may be that you have not yet enabled it. If so, despite all your efforts, you would not be able to put the faces on Instagram anyway.
To see if the emoji keyboard is active on iOS, open the iPhone Settings and follow the path
- Go to Settings> General > Keyboard > Keyboards.
- In that section, verify that the list includes the Emoji entry.
- If this does not happen, click on Add New Keyboard and choose Emoji.
- That done, putting the smilies with the iPhone should no longer be a problem.
Emoji in the Post
If you want to add emoji in the Instagram posts you are about to publish, you must be content to do it within the caption. The social photo platform owned by Facebook, in fact, does not allow you to add smilies while processing the post. It only allows you to retouch the image with pre-set filters and other purely photographic adjustments.
To insert the Instagram emojis in the caption, you must launch the app, log in with your profile’s credentials, press the ” + ” button and choose the photo to upload. After applying filters and changes, you will be asked if you want to add a caption (this is the last step before the actual publication). At that point, tap in the appropriate field and, once the keyboard appears, click on the smiley icon (for Android systems) or on the world map and then on the Emoji option (for iPhone). Finally, choose the emoji, insert them in the description and publish the image.
Alternatively, I remind you that you could always edit the photo or video before uploading it to Instagram. By doing this, you would be able to insert the emoticons also in your multimedia files, so not only in the description.
Emoji in the Stories
If you want to add Instagram emojis in the Stories, you can follow two different paths. After pressing the My story button (located at the top of the main screen of the app) and after choosing the image or video to publish, you can customize the content loaded by inserting the faces you prefer.
To do this, you could either press the Aa icon, which is at the top of the screen, or press the icon in the shape of a square face, which is just a little to the left of the previous one. In the first case, once the keyboard appears, you must press on the smiley icon (for Android systems) or on the world map and then on the Emoji option (for iPhone). After that, you just have to choose the emoticon and insert it as text.
In the second case, instead, you could press the Stickers button and scroll down, until you find all the Instagram emojis. Select the one you like best and you’re good to go.
Emoji in Direct
You can also add Instagram emoji in Direct messages. Compared to the procedures we have just seen, there is not much difference. In fact, just enter the chat, activate the emoticon keyboard and choose the one that we like best.
In detail, you have to press on the paper airplane icon, in order to access Direct. Then, you have to choose the conversation in which you want to send the message with the emoticon. Finally, you have to press in the text entry field, activate the emoji keyboard and choose the face that best suits your situation.
Emoji in the Bio
You can also Insert Instagram emoji in the Bio. After launching the application and after logging in with your credentials, press the half-length icon on the bottom right to enter the Profile.
From there, press the Edit Profile button. Then, press on the text field at the Biography section. As usual, activate the emoji keyboard, enter the one you like best and save the changes you have made to the account.
