Which is the fastest Android smartphone? Ranking October 2018

Personally I’m not a big fan of benchmarks, which I think always leave the time they find.

The performance of a smartphone, in fact, from my point of view should be analyzed in the daily, opening the various applications, taking pictures, making calls, surfing the internet and of course playing.

I think a simple program can not make us understand how effectively a phone is more powerful and better than another.

At the same time, however, a program of benchmarking and analyzing the performance of a telephone such as AnTuTu can be useful to give us a first impression of the real computing power of a given telephone.

As anticipated, it does not allow us to understand if one phone is better than another, but at least gives us an idea of how much power the hardware in our hands is able to unleash.

That said, if you’re constantly looking for the fastest, most powerful and performing Android phone, the one with the most computing power and the most powerful hardware in circulation, you’ll be glad to know that recently, AnTuTu has published a list of Android smartphones with the best performances, updating the ranking in October 2018.

Obviously the ranking is based on the average performance of the models tested with the AnTuTu application and includes only Android smartphones.

But enough with the chatter, let’s get to the heart of the ranking, which you find below:

Some considerations on the ranking

Huawei Mate 20 Pro with its 7 nm Kirin 980 has managed to gain the top of the charts thanks to its 309,628 points, distancing over 10,000 points all the other top Android range that are based on the Snapdragon 845 Qualcomm.

In second place we find the ASUS ROG Phone, which had dominated the ranking of AnTuTu last month.

OnePlus 6 closes the top 3 with 292,007 points despite having the same processor as the ASUS. The difference is due to the fact that the ASUS processor is overclocked at 2.96 GHz.

Following are Mi Black Shark, Meizu 16th, Mi 8, Vivo NEX S, OPPO Find X, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in the Snapdragon variant and Mi MIX 2S.

The ranking therefore highlights the current leadership of Huawei, with Mate 20 Pro and its Kirin 980. However, the Snapdragon confirms itself as an excellent processor, occupying 9 out of 10 places in the standings.

With this ranking we have concluded.
