Dark theme on macOS Mojave: how to activate it, put it on and enable it

Today we will talk again about MacOS Mojave, but we will see how to activate and enable Dark Mode (dark theme) on this operating system, one of the main innovations introduced by Apple with this important update.

How to put Dark Mode macOS Mojave

The procedure to follow is very simple.

First of all, however, I remind you that, unlike previous versions, the “macOS Mojave Dark Mode” function works throughout the system (dock, menu bar and system applications included).

That said, let’s start with the guide, even if enabling the Dark Mode on macOS Mojave is very simple.

You must follow these steps:

  • In the desktop, at the top left you have to click on the Apple logo located at the top left in the upper bar
  • Then click on System Preferences
  • In the window that will open, select General
  • In the first option at the top there is the item  “Appearance”:  by default the Clear variant will be selected. Select the Dark version  that is just next to it
  • Now you can close the window and enjoy the Dark Mode enabled on MacOS Mojave.

Here it is: putting the Dark Mode on macOS Mojave is really simple and fast.

Obviously the procedure is reversible: if you do not like the Dark Moderepeat everything and select the theme Clear in place of the dark and black.

As you can see, the Dark Mode makes the whole system interface dark, including apps like Safari, Calendar, Mac App Store, Mail, Notes, Message and everything related to these features and programs.

Remember, however, that third-party apps are NOT influenced by this feature: developers must update and include in the code the dual mode of clear and dark vision.
