It is possible to earn quick money in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, without having to resort to normal and time-consuming methods. There are some legitimate ways to make money in The Witcher 3, such as fulfilling contracts, participating in illegal street fights, selling items and playing Gwent. But, they do not yield much, which can be a problem for those who are at the beginning of the adventure.
Because of this, players have always looked for flaws and bugs that allowed them to accumulate large amounts in a short time. Overall, CD Projekt Red corrects breaches as soon as they are detected, but at least one still works: killing pigs and cows.
The trick can be done both in Pomar Branco, in the pigsty containing a number of pigs, and in the pasture near the Oxenfurt gate in Novigrad.
- Kill the animals with the Igni sign and collect the skins and other items they drop;
- Open the menu, select the option to Meditate for an hour;
- At the end of the meditation, the animals will have returned to the pasture/pigsty;
- Repeat the process as many times as necessary.
When you already have enough items to talk to, speak to the merchant near the entrance to Pomar Branco or Olivier, the tavern keeper at the Rei da Pesca tavern in Novigrad, and sell the skins and other items you can, as each merchant/innkeeper has a limit on the amount of money you can spend on purchases.
If the merchant’s or tavernkeeper’s money runs out, but you still have furs to sell, open the menu and meditate again, but this time for five straight days. After that, talk to Olivier or the merchant again and the sellers’ money will have been restored, allowing him to buy more of your items.
Repeat the whole process as many times as you want and soon you will have enough money.
