Instagram: Swipe ups and links not working in stories

Many users on Instagram are experiencing problems with swipe ups in stories: the links don’t work. Let’s find out what happened.

In the last few hours many Instagram users are experiencing different problems with swipe ups in stories. The published links do not open. At the moment we do not know if it is a real Instagram down: on Twitter there are still few reports about it and the problem seems to belong only to the links in the stories which do not work.

After swipe up, it may happen that the open link is completely empty or, it may happen that a message appears on the Instagram itself:

“Sorry, this page is not available. It is possible that the link you followed is corrupt or the page has been removed.”

Reading the message is easy to be alarmed, especially if it is your account or a profile that you follow closely. Do not worry though, most likely it is a temporary malfunction of the social network. We are therefore waiting for a declaration from Instagram, hoping that the problem of the links in the stories will be solved as soon as possible.

It is not the first time that such discomfort has occurred. By now Instagram down are more and more frequent. According to experts, the problem could be related to the work that the Menlo Park developers are occupying over the past few months to integrate Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp. Also for this reason, it happens that the three applications do not work properly at the same time.

We remember however that for now the problem is tied only to the swipe up of Instagram. In fact, the links in the stories don’t open. It is not to be excluded however that the problem is linked precisely to the various works in progress already mentioned above. We will keep you updated as soon as there are more news.
