How to replace and disable the Bixby key on Galaxy Note 9

Replace Bixby with Google Assistant

How to deactivate Bixby
1 – Deactivate the button
After the complaints received with the Galaxy S8, Samsung decided that the Bixby button is deactivated in an easy and direct way.
- Press the Bixby button (under the volume rocker) to start Bixby
- Now tap the gear icon at the top
- A switch will appear
- Move it and you’ll see that the button is off
2 – Turn off the voice alarm

How to remap the Bixby button on Galaxy Note 9 to replace it with Google Assistant or decide to turn it off completely
The last step to replacing Bixby with Google Assistant is to remap the Bixby button with Google Assistant. In practice, clicking on the button will activate Google Assistant and not Bixby.
1 – Install bxActions
bxActions is a free application that allows you to customize the Bixby button and other buttons on the Galaxy S9 and S9 + without ROOT permissions.
2 – Provide the necessary accesses
Start bxActions, click Next on startup, you will automatically be directed to the permissions page where you will need to select bxActions from the settings.
In fact, selecting the item Look applications in the backgroud will open the login page where selecting bxActions and finally Allow usage tracking you will have provided the necessary qualifications.
3 – Enable access to the Plugins
Completed the first part you will be redirected back to the home of bxActions and now you will have to select the second item that will automatically open the accessibility to the plugins, where you will have to select bxActions – Bixby button in the services section. In the popup that opens, click on OK.
4 – Enable services
Now comes the most complex part because you will need to associate the action on bxActions to open Google Assistant and enable services. From the bxActions settings selecting on Buttons you will then have to select Bixby button and enable it.
Now follow the on-screen instructions to enable permissions using ADB commands. All this is an automatic process where you will have to select the files indicated by PC, after having connected it via USB and starting an exe file.

5 – Replace Google Assistant at Bixby or turn it off
Now we can rip the Bixby button of the Galaxy S9 with Google Assistant. From the main page of bxActions you can finally select Actions, select the item Choose action, in the command page now you have to select the item Google Assistant to complete the procedure.
Select the Bixby Enable entry to enable the Bixby key.
Here you can also select no action to completely disable the button or choose an app that is faster to start with a simple click.
