Apex Legends is a free-to-play strealth shooter, with the now beloved battle royale mode: the game is developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts.

As for any other game, to download Apex Legends on PS4 one must keep in mind a single point of reference: the PS Store. To play Apex Legends, just like for Fortnite, you do not need a subscription to the PlayStation Plus paid service.
How to play Apex Legends on Xbox One
Unlike the Sony counterpart, Microsoft for Xbox One requires Xbox Live subscription to play Apex Legends. Through the Microsoft Store you can instead download the game, to be installed on Xbox and play, as long as you are willing to spend for the online payment service.

Apex Legends can also be downloaded on a PC, but this version can not be downloaded from the Microsoft Store or from the official website: to have it refer to Origin, the official platform for games distributed and produced by Electronic Arts. Currently there is not a version of Apex Legends for Nintendo Switch, although on this front there seem to be some timid news coming. Nothing for a possible mobile version for iOS and Android.
