Since there are some games for the PlayStation 4 that allow mouse, in this guide today we will talk about specifically how to connect the mouse to the PS4 in a simple and fast way.
How to connect the mouse to the PS4
Connecting a mouse to the PlayStation 4 is a very simple operation, whether it is a Bluetooth device or USB. Currently, there are various PS4 games that support this type of device. Examples are Fortnite, Overwatch and Battlefield. If you have a USB mouse, the only thing to do is to insert the USB mouse connector into one of the USB ports on the PlayStation 4. The external device will be recognized immediately.
If, on the other hand, you own a Bluetooth mouse, carefully follow the steps listed below:
- Turn on the Bluetooth mouse and place it in pairing mode. If you do not know how to do it, we advise you to read carefully the user manual that you find in the packaging of the device.
- At this point, press the PS button on the controller and follow the path Settings > Devices > Bluetooth devices.
- In the menu that appears, the mouse to be associated will appear. Select it and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
- Once you have successfully connected the Bluetooth mouse to the PlayStation 4, you can select the mouse type (whether for right-handed or left-handed) via the Type item or adjust the pointer speed via Pointer speed. You can find these two options in Settings > Devices > Mouse.
If you need to connect a keyboard (USB or Bluetooth), just follow the same steps seen for the mouse. In this case, however, you can set the type of external keyboard according to the language, the writing method, the time interval preceding the repetition of a character when a key is pressed and the repetition speed of a character when a key is pressed button is held down. These options are accessible in the External Keyboard menu found in Settings > Devices.
