A new iPad Mini is coming in 2019: this is the rumor revealed by the well-known leaker Ming-Chi Kuo, which foresees the debut of the new Apple device for next spring.
iPad Mini 5 may appear in Apple price lists starting in 2019. The indiscretion comes directly from Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities and well-known leaker to the community of Apple enthusiasts for its reliability.
The iPad Mini series, miniature version of the iPad, has been very popular with users all over the world, who have appreciated the lower cost, greater lightness and portability.
With the advent of the Plus models (and now Max) of the iPhone the iPad Mini has lost appeal, preferred to the phablet that, with their performance, their design and features remain the best selling Apple devices.

iPad Mini 5: when it will be released
The concurrent rumor about a new iPad Mini with the event organized by Apple to announce the new iPad Pro and Mac on October 30 is suspect.
As revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo Apple would really be working on a new version of the iPad Mini, whose series is stuck to 2015 with iPad Mini 4. Three years of silence on the beloved pocket version of the iPad, a three-year period in which Apple has been able to develop several new technologies and features for its portable screens: from thinner frames to the Pro version, from the Face ID for iPhone X (coming now, according to rumors, even in apple tablets), to the now famous Apple Pencil.
All features that could flow into these new hypothetical iPad Mini, marking the step to the new generation for the pocket version of the iPad.
Ming-Chi Kuo, however, professes less certain about the presence of the new iPad Mini at the next Apple presentation: the announcement could be made during the event on October 30th, but to take a look at the new models we may have to wait for next spring.
The fifth generation of the iPad Mini could present a completely new design, alongside that of the new iPad Pro – without edges and with a larger display – that we will see in the expected event.
To ensure a lower price than the Pro models, we talk about a cheaper display but with support guaranteed to Apple Pencil (turning the iPad Mini, given its size, in a real notebook).
Updates also regarding the processor, which will most likely mount a latest generation Bionic A12 chip (so to speak, iPad Mini 4 is stopped at the chip A8).
iPad Mini 2019: AirPower coming soon?
Kuo does not stop at the new iPad Mini, revealing also some news about AirPower: Apple’s revolutionary wireless charging mat. Even its presentation is scheduled for the event in the spring of 2019, the debut of the device would have been postponed due to some malfunctions in the design phase regarding the management of the charge and energy.
So let’s wait for an event of 30 October completely dedicated to the new generation of iPad Pro and Mac: those who will not be convinced by the new devices, will be able to wait quietly the first months of 2019 and judge the arrival of the new iPad Mini.
