Dark Mode arrives on Whatsapp: battery saving and make eyes less tired at night and with low light. Here’s how it works and how to have it.
WhatsApp keeps updating. After the release of the 2.18.100 version for iOS 12, which introduces new features and general improvements, the Dark Mode would appear on site for the next few weeks .
Currently under test, according to what reported by WABetainfo, the Dark mode for WhatsApp may be coming sooner than we think: it is from the site that some rumors arrive on its operation, along with some screens that show how it will be displayed. The feature will be available for both iOS and Android, in different ways: this is how it will work.

WhatsApp: what is Dark Mode
The Dark Mode of WhatsApp will work like those already present in many other applications, such as Twitter and YouTube. Its function is simple: by activating it, the colors of the app will be inverted, giving the possibility to use WhatsApp in black and white.
The menu and the conversation windows will go from the usual bright green and white to black with a well defined grayscale (and that should give the best on smartphones OLED displays). In this way not only the Dark Mode will allow us to save battery using WhatsApp, but will allow in the evening a prolonged use of the app with a much lower impact on our view.
More rested eyes and longer chats in the evening hours: this seems to be the goal of this new mode for WhatsApp, long requested by users. Currently the mode is only available for selected testers, but the developers ensure that your arrival will not be long.
It is not very clear how the backgrounds will be handled in conversations, if these will remain in color or will be changed to black and white from Dark Mode.
On Twitter and Youtube, thumbnails aimed at icons, profile photos, videos and photos remain in color by activating the dark mode: the question of backgrounds is very different, not being confined to a miniature but extending the color to the whole conversation page. By leaving it in color, the Dark mode for WhatsApp would have a significantly lower impact.

Whatsapp: the news of the update of iOS 12
In addition to the arrival of the Dark Mode, as we have mentioned, a new update for iOS 12 has been available since yesterday, introducing a series of small innovations.
In addition to the improved interface for iPhone Xs Max, the new update for iOS 12 presents a new playback mode for voice messages: now the audio received a short distance from each other will be played in sequence, without having to press each time play for each message (a small sound will warn us of the change of message playback, so that we can distinguish them).
Changed options menu can also be activated by holding down a message: the commands change from scroll to column, so you can reply, forward, delete or copy a message more quickly. The new features are currently only available on iOS 12, so exclusively for iPhone owners.
