How to restore iPhone with IPSW firmware

Before proceeding, remember that you can install a firmware only if the signatures of the relevant version of iOS have not been closed, otherwise there is no way to install a firmware no longer certified by Apple.

Having said that, after downloading the correct IPSW file, very few steps remain to be performed:

  • Launch iTunes and open the device management page
  • Press and hold Alt if you are on Mac or Shift if you are on Windows and click on the button in the upper right corner Restore iPhone/Restore iPad
